OK, so what is bf1942, battlefield 1942 for pc. Its the thing that spawned the consoles versions and things like bf2/bf2142(1942 needs the least amount of cpu power)
Its gettingon now coming up 6 years old, but amazingly its still has life in it like you wouldnt believe.
Technical Support:- LooL, bf1942 doesnt come with voice comms, so we use a seperate progam called ventrilo, its so usefull you would nt
believe, so its not just for gaming we use this, its everything from socialising to helping easch other out etcetc,
If you dont have a mic, dont worry there is text chat and you will still be able to hear me, so not all is lost.

tick all the boxes for default and hit OK.
3. Now it should read in the empty box ?MSG: Server is available, Press Connect, so do it
near the bottom is our rooms AnUsual Kommunitee, and if your inluck with my fat arse in there. so double click the channel and join, and i will guide you the rest verbally, Note there are certain rules in there, i will explain them as i create your account.

RIGHT, you liked the demo and crave more, so you buy the full version, nowadays it comes new in a thing called collection or trilogy or summing lol,
now this version i believe is v1.45, note this is an important to know, once installed and the game goes to the main menu, in the bottom left corner there is the number version it is,
As i said its old now, so there have been plenty of new updates or "patches" to add or change things they decieded need to be different, now if you happen to have found a dirt cheap copy its probably going to version 1.4, at a guess. im working from 1.45 as thats the version i seem to be helping ppl with alot.
SO, the game is installed. now lays ahead a long boring path that seems never ending and well it is but totally worth it.
so from your retail or "vanilla" copy, we need to get you from v1.45 to the latest v1.61b, great one patch right? wrong its incremental for some version so
0. if your a cheap scape then, only install this patch if you dont have v1.45, ie 1.4 or earlier and it will bring you to v1.5

catch is, we play soo many mods(game modifications) and user created maps that your gonna have to spending a fair while catching up, the best way i suggest is set the larger downloads to go over night, this way you aint sat around like a plum.
